Quick Cruise Tip #1 Splash Pad Is Not What It Seems
Hey there family travelers. Quick FYI for today. I have a 3-year-old and an 11-month-old and we took them to the splash pad to play while cruising on Royal Caribbean's Allure. It was cute and fun and had a couple of different sections to play in and we were all having an enjoyable time until a lifeguard came up and told us that our kids were not allowed in that section of the splash pad because they were in swimmy diapers. We were pointed to this teeny tiny little circle of an area that the kids were permitted to play in and it was so disappointing that we didn't go back for the rest of the cruise because what was the point? I understand the need to be extra careful about disease and bacteria contamination on a cruise ship but this was quite misleading. We had assumed the splash pad was meant solely for toddlers but it was actually designed only for kids who were completely potty trained.
